I count on the fingers of one hand the number of endocrinologists that I might recommend to thyroid patients.I can think of three in Texas: Kermani in Rockwall, V. in Houston, and Brantley in Amarillo. The other two are in California: Friedman and Holtorf, both in Los Angeles.

Dr. Prost does not appear on that list. He does not prescribe Armour. You will most likely see his associate who is even worse than he is.

Do you have lab results to share with us? Have you tried going off the Armour to see if the symptoms stop? Reducing your dose?

Do you have serum ferritin and other iron levels? How are your basal temps? Do you feel hot when other folks do not?

Have you lost weight? How old are you? Could you be peri-menopausal?

Aside from being over or undermedicated, it is possible that you are reacting to some drugs given to the hogs just before slaughter to firm up the meat. . . . .(I am thinking about try all synthetics. Compounded T3 and T4 fron WIP. Next time I see Dr. Spurlock. . . . . )

>> Hi, I've been having some anxiety and wonder if there is a problem developing with my thyroid gland, so I was referred to Dr. Henry M. Prost, "Endocrinology & Reproductive Medicine of Tarrant County at Baylor Medical Center at Grapevine on Hwy 114 in Grapevine, TX.> > Does anyone know if Dr. Prost will be helpful. Does he prescribe armour? Anyone been to see him?> > I've been on armour or armour compounded for several years--75 mg in AM and 60 mg in early afternoon. I had been feeling great for about 5 years since I started on armour. However, for the past few months, I've been feeling more nervous-anxious, night sweats, loss of appetite (Really strange symptom for me who could ALWAYS eat), sleepless nights.> > I have my appointment on Dec 29. Hope to get some answers.> > Thanks.>
