Hi everyone -

I am new to the group. Hoping to find some support and some answers on this

board.

A little about me - I am 37, mom of two kids, work in FtW, live in Keller area.

Husband got a job in FtW back in 2010 and we moved here from South Texas. I was

diagnosed with HypoT when I was in my early 20's. I also have PCOS with insulin

resistance. Recently was referred to an endo and I really had high hopes. He

switched my from Levo to Armour and I felt better almost instantly. However, my

symptoms keep coming back. Not as bad when I was on Levo but still there. I

recently went back to him with complaints of my symptoms and being so tired that

I cannot make it thru the day. He wrote me an RX for a diet pill. I have lost 35

lbs since Feb. I explained that I didnt think I NEEDED a diet pill. I asked if

he could run some more labs - like Vit B deficiency, Cortisol, etc. He said no.

He wrote me the RX for the diet pill and sent me on my way. So.... I fired him

and went looking for a new endo. Sent all my paperwork in to one that I had

heard good things about. He told me that he couldnt help and refused to see me.

I also have multi-nodule goiter.

I am looking for a good Dr. within 100 miles of the DFW area. One that takes

insurance that is. I know there are many good ones that DO NOT accept insurance

but I cannot afford to pay out of pocket. Especially when my ins. only

reimburses for 50% for out of network providers. There is a great Dr. in Corpus

but if I can find one that I dont have to drive 8 hours to go see - that would

be great!!!

Any ideas, experiences, etc? I am at my wit's end! I just want to feel

better!!!!!
