Hi,Everyone how are you today. Im new to hugs-n-pain and im going to

see a pain management dr. next week. I have had two spine surgerys

in the past two years. One in my neck and one in my lumbar. trying

to do PT. but the pain is still there, may be a little nerve damage.

I have real bad balance and hard time walking with left leg drages

a little. Any advise would be great.Thanks Mike from cincinnat...

Hi Mike,

I wanted to wish you best of luck at your pain Dr appt! I hope he/she will have

some treatments that ease your pain. I went to one for almost 2 years and went

through many injections and procedures to try to lessen the pain. It seems from

what I've heard on pain groups that each state's pain Dr's are so different;

here in MN pain dr's do injections & procedures, they do not prescribe pain meds

(which I thought was weird!). In other areas the pain Dr's are the only ones you

can get pain meds from. I wish I could ease your mind and be able to tell you

what to expect, but they're all so different. Good luck at your appt., don't

downplay your pain or feel like you're whining, the Dr needs ro know the

intensity and location of the pain in order to treat you effectivly.

Take care,
