Guest guest
>>All of these temps were on 100 mcg t3 and 25 HC. The 98.9 reading was a day after I stressed dosed by 2.5 mg.<< This should tell you something. When a small stress dose raises temps liek that it is because oyu arenot on QUITE enough HC and the stress dose allowed a thyroid dump. I owuld hold Cytomel where it is and raise the HC by5MG. If temps go over 99 lower Cytomel. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
Thank you Val...will do it and let you know. As always, you are a great help and a clear mind, when all the world is in a fog! Naffy > > >>All of these temps were on 100 mcg t3 and 25 HC. Guest guest
If temps go over 99 lower Cytomel Artistic Grooming- I'm assuming you're meaning AVERAGE temps right? If averages are 98.6-98.9 I stay with the same dosage? > > > > >>All of these temps were on 100 mcg t3 and 25 HC. Guest guest
Geez you have the patience of a saint. OF COURSE I knew that you meant averages, but this adrenal stuff strips me of my confidence and I get very unsure of everything. Thanks for your patience Val. Guest guest
Hi Val....I upped the HC by 5 mg yesterday like you said. Did not sleep well last night at all, and am feeling wired this morning. Possible thyroid dump?? What are the actual symptoms of a thyroid dump? Should I maybe lower Cytomel a bit today only...say like 12.5 mcg?? Thanks again! Naffy > > > > >>I'm assuming you're meaning AVERAGE temps right? Guest guest
Val I don't think I can wait for a daily average...I[m feeling progressively worse and I just laid down for a rest and could actually SEE my heart thumping thru my blouse. I feel drugged and very funky. I'm assuming this is the famous dump. Have not had my morn meds yet....would you advise to NOT take my morning dose of Cytomel. And go ahead and take my 7.5 HC morning dose? This is not fun! Naffy > > >>Hi Val....I upped the HC by 5 mg yesterday like you said. Guest guest
Thanks Val for being so quick. will do. > > Take the usual HC dose adn check your temp NOW. Guest guest
Ok Val I did what you said.....took my temp at the height of my discomfort this morning and it was normal for me at that hour (98.2)...weird....but because I felt so bad, I went ahead and skipped my first dose. Only took Cytomel at noon and afternoon, cutting out 25 mcg for the entire day. My three temps averaged 98.8. So I'll stay the course for now. Are we waiting for temps to go down a bit after three days of this? Thanks, Naffy > > Take the usual HC dose adn check your temp NOW. Guest guest
Hi Val....see you haven't been around here today, but thought I'd go ahead and fill you in on how I've been doing. In the post above, yesterday, I lowered Cytomel but still had pretty high temp average for the day.(98.8) Today I went back to original dose of 100 mcg of cytomel while holding the HC raise I made yesterday of 30 mg. Well my ave. temp today is 98.2!!! I expected the temps to go down a bit, because of the lowered Cytomel yesterday, but by going down SO MUCH doesn't that show adrenal stress?? Why would my adrenals stress by RAISING the HC, when they were always very steady at a lower dose??? I just don't know what to expect from my body anymore and how to read the signs. Can you help me figure it out please? And what to do now....raise Cytomel? Thanks Val.....sorry to be such a bore. Naffy > > > > Take the usual HC dose adn check your temp NOW. Guest guest
You're there....great! Thanks for answering....thought you were on holiday today or something. You SHOULD be. Ok...will hold a week and not complain I guess. I figured lower temps could be from lowered Cytomel OR then again, from more HC soaking up all the t3 I had pooling. since you're there I'll take advantage and ask another question....does HIGH cortisol also cause pooling of t3 in the blood- and high blood labs of t3? How can one really know which is the problem....if temps are where they should be and steady..but labs show high t3....how do we KNOW it is low cortisol and not high? Thanks, Naffy -- In RT3_T3 , wrote: > > Hold these doses changes for at least a week. Guest guest
But when we're on t3 only there is NO conversion, right? So if there is no t4 in the system....and we ASSUME rt3 is gone (on t3 only for 4 months)....how would I know if my cortisol was still too low or too high.(am thinking high because of fast weight gain,/fluid retention lately). My temps before were steady and highISH. If my cortisol were low, then my temps would not have been able to get so high right? )98.6-98.7) I don't mean to contradict...beleive me, I am just trying to get a grip on the logic of it all. It has me baffled. I wish there were a course Cortisol 101! LOL Thanks, Naffy > > >>does HIGH cortisol also cause pooling of t3 in the blood- > and high blood labs of t3? It blocks conversion of T4 to T3 But to my knowledge it uses up MORE T3 which would leave blood levels low, unless ther is still highRT3 stopping it form getting to the cells. With high RT3 this is wbhy you can have high T3 or low T3 btu T4 will ususlaly be over midrange when RT3 is high. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >
Guest guest
But Val.....back in my original post #2075, I posted my temps and all the latest ones were over 98.6 and you told me to raise HC. I'm really confused. I'm sorry if you're being clear, and Im being dumb...but if I was high thyroid, why wouldn't you recommend to lower Cytomel? Could you clarify everything please, going back to my original post? Thank you very much, Naffy > > Temps that average over 98.6 would mean high thyroid. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >
