He loved them and would eat them constantly in that way only. :;-) kandie Kandie and (9 years) * 's website: spage *
Guest guest
Aislynn just informed me she eats SALAD at school! " Oh sure, " I said. No, really, it's a garden salad with bits of radishes, tomato, some carrots. Now I know for a fact she hates carrots, and almost never eats tomato. She hates anything with cheese, or pasta like pizza and spaghetti, yet will eat a chef-boy-r-dee can of spaghetti and meatballs, and makes herself a ragu express in a bowl. So I can never predict what she might like and not. Sometimes she will even eat spinach, (w/lots of mayo) and asparagus. She has got to be real hungry to do that. But she even puts Ranch dressing on that salad. Actually, she didn't know what kind of dressing it was, so I took out a bottle of ranch from the fridge and let her sniff. Only two months ago, her dinners mainly were corn dogs. Today, she has not had a corn dog in about three weeks. It goes in cycles, huh? Barb " No cheese, never cheese. (totally unscientific >declaration and experiment, but still....) Unfortunately, autism is >almost defined my limited diets, right?<<< Grace - I think it would hold lots of water, myself. I say this because of all of Jacqui's progress since we have been attempting to " heal " her gut. I have no doubt that diet is, if not key, then an essential piece of the puzzle. Now, that said, how do I get that girl to eat veggies?????? Penny :-)

He has different rules for different places and he does not tell anyone about his different rules. At least she is TELLING you. Deal with it. I, myself, have given up trying to get Jacqui to eat. I've almost come to the point where I won't even call her down for breakfast. I have to initiate EVERY meal. " Do you want breakfast? " , which I have to repeat umpteen times. It's very annoying. That said, the other day around 2:00, she still hadn't eaten lunch. I said " What do you want for lunch? " . I got the standard response " I dunno " . Now that response wouldn't be so bad if she didn't say " NO " to everything that I offered. I finally said screw it. " Do you want yogurt? " (she just started eating this again...she picked out Trix yogurt)...she says " Yeees " ...Good. I get her the yogurt. She eats the yogurt. She then looks at me, and quite seriously says " Mom, this isn't lunch. I want a Tuna Fish Sandwich " . Yes, she's still alive. Barely.
