Wow Toni .....Where do you live? That sounds delicious!!! I am afraid our

restaurants are pretty run of the mill around here. I'll keep my eyes and

ears on the lookout though. Thanks for the tip.

I haven't gotten in on this discussion, but since I have an extra minute,

here goes: Look in your area for a place that sells Mongolian. We have a

place where you pick your won food and watch them prepare it for you. They

have four buffet type counters. The first is *loaded* with thinly sliced,

frozen, raw meats. A selection of beef, chicken, turkey, fish (shrimp, cod

and lobster) and, I think, lamb. and tofu. You choose what you like (and

how much) In a separate bowl you select your veggies (tons of choices).

Then, while they are cooking your food, you get your salad. The last bar is

for seasonings. All kinds of oils, like peanut, sesame, etc. garlic, soy,

hot stuff (I stay away from that, so I can't name it!) You season your own

meat and veggies. They the cooks prepare it on a huge round grill right

before your eyes. For dessert they have frozen yogurt and fortune cookies.

You are served a bowl of steamed rice or fried rice at the table. Also your

choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup. You take all you want and can have

as many refills as you want.

We never go beck for refills, but, I assure you we are stuffed at the end of

the meal. The next am my bgs will range from 70-80 as a rule. Sometimes I

even nibble at the fortune cookie and take a couple of bites of the yogurt.

I think my controlling of oils sugars that are added keep me from having a

problem!

Check the yellow pages either online or in your book under Mongolian....some

call it Mongolian Bar B Q like Genghis Kahn or even Beni Hana (Sp.)

*hugs* Toni

I agree with you that Mongolia BBQ is great! We have one in Austin, TX

close to my apartment, though the setup is slightly different. No salad.

We put the veggies and meats in the same bowl.

I usually go on Sunday's around 3 or 4 (end of lunch price is 4, then it

goes up a couple of dollars.

Ours, too, has a lower price at lunch, but with Bill working in the day time

and me not seeing really well, sometimes I have to wait to have a driver!

LOL!

BTW...do you know how to order the Books for the blind in Austin? I have

gotten two shipments, but so far they have just sent me books from in

categories that I listed as being interested in. They were going to send

catalogs. (But I bet the print would be too small to see!) *hugs* Toni

If you don't mind (I wanted to ask you first) I can forward your email to a

coworker who is blind. His wife is also blind. They order from the books

for the blind.
