Hi - I think the acronym is actually UVJ-- because it would likely be at

the UVJ junction that they'd carry the procedure out. Ureterovesicular junction

(UVJ)- is what that stands for. I'm a family practice provider, not a urologist

though... But I'm pretty sure that's what they were probably referring to. Hope

it helps for whatever it's worth :) Traci

Hi ,

It does make you wonder. I have a daughter with curvature of the spine, another

daughter with a hip creak, and a grandson with Chiari, and a grandaughter with

back pain that is being explored as she is still undiagnosed!

Dec. for a severe kidney infection. I had to have a stent inserted between my

kidney and bladder. A few weeks later I had a nuclear kidney functioning test

and found my kidney was only functioning at 18%. I had my kidney removed in Feb.

The surgeon said my kidney was quite small. Apparently I had evidence of chronic

infection probably many years.

my 13yr old son has a TC. He had release surgery 2yrs ago and has since

retethered from scar tissue. He also has a syrinx. Now I am wondering if I also

have a tethered cord. Hmmm. Perhaps I need an MRI.
