What are the obvious symptoms of Marcons beyond chronic sinus

infections? Anyone have any info on it?

Thanks

,

The best thing I can suggest is to read the chapter on MARCoNS

in " Mold Warriors " that Dr.Shoemaker wrote. After reviewing this

chapter from what I understand there is no specific symptoms, but they

do affect other blood levels/hormones such as MSH and exacerbates some

symptoms that you may already have such as fatigue, that he mentions.

ALL of Dr.Shoemaker's patients normally this test is performed. It's a

deep sinus culture. They are staph infections that can prevent you

from recovering from other ailments and also seem to be resistant to

many antibodics. He normally does a triple dose of antibodics to get

the MARCoNS under control, if not completely eliminated. I will quote

from his book. MARCoNS - Multiply Antibotic Resistant Coagnulase

Negative Staphs. MSH - alpha melanocyte stimulating hormone. A small

peptide hormone (13 amino acids) that regulates nearly all aspects of

the innate immune response. Made in the hypothalamus,it controls

nerve, hormone, cytokine function, skin cells (keratinocytes) and

mucus membrane defenses, as well as controlling production of

endorphins and melatonin.

Hope this helps,

KC

" MARCoNS thrives in the presence of low levels of MSH. MARCoNS

aggreviate the MSH deficiency, perpertuating their own growth by

sending out stealth hemolysins to launch cytokine attacks on the

leptin receptor and destroying MSH by producing exotoxins. MSH

apparently eliminates MARCoNS from its biofilm by stimulating a

vigorous, targeted cytokine response against the organisms in their

sanctuary. The protection by MSH from colonization with MARCoNS is

lost in MSH deficiency. "
