Guest guest
I just joined the group yesterday and wanted to say hi and tell you a little bit about me to start off. I am a 49 yr old happily married christan woman who has had fibromyalgia for the last 16 yrs, give or take a few. Hi Carolyn, Welcome to the group. I'm sorry that pain has brought you here, but glad you found us. This is a very caring and supportive group. We even have fun together..imagine that??? It is very reassuring to find out even when some minor quirky things going on with you are common to others who have fibro. It makes you feel a little more abnormally " normal. " lol. I look forward to getting to know you. hugs, Sundra Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall
Guest guest
Dear Carolyn, Welcome to the group. And sorry you have to be here on one hand, and yet happy to meet another in my condition. I guess in some sick way it makes me feel better that I am not so alone in all of this. My name is G. and I live across the states from you in Oregon . I am an hour from the beach. I just started posting again yesterday. I have been camping for a while and then I busted up my tailbone by falling down. So Needless to say I haven't been able to sit for a while. I guess I have been gone for a few weeks, but I still recognize many of the names here and I can tell you that there are some very sweet people in this group , and also some very well educated folks when it comes to Fibro. Many of them also have a great sense of humor and will send you in stitches laughing so hard. I have enjoyed this group very much and have been member since March, I hope you love it here as much as I do. Sorry for the rambling, It's four in the morning and I can't sleep I'm sure you can relate. G. Hello from Oregon ! I just joined the group yesterday and wanted to say hi and tell you a little bit about me to start off. I am a 49 yr old happily married christan woman who has had fibromyalgia for the last 16 yrs, give or take a few. Actually I wish someone would take them all. LOL. I also have RSD, Neuropathy, and severe sciatica, actually all of them are severe enough that they have put me in an electric wheelchair anytime I need to go out of our apartment. My husband is very supportive of me ane takes very good care of me. We have 3 children and 7 grandchildren, none of the grandchildren live close to us and it is really hard, because we miss and love them dearly, but when they do come up I am wore out with in an hour and makes it really hard on me becausee I feel selfish for wanting to go lay down. Anyway that is a taste and hopefully over time I will know more about you and you about me. Wishing you a pain free day Carolyn 1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. Have a nice day everyone.
