Guest guest
What a great idea. The weekends or Thursday evenings work well for me. Sue Re: North Dallas Meeting Spurlock? Guest guest
Here is the link to his website: http://www.renewedvitalitymd.com/contact-us/ I have one word of caution. His staff has started pushing supplements. I was told that he " wants all of his patients to take these supplements " . He also wants everyone to have some kind of scan to " see if the supplements are working " . Your insurance will not pay for this kind of testing. I do not like any part of this. Me either. It is multi level marketing vitamins. They will ask that you meet with the vitamin person before and after your appointment. Do NOT agree to anything. Not a scan, not anything. The scan is $29. They tell you that if you get the scan, you get $15 off the supplements. What a crock. They are overpriced supplements to begin with. This almost made my husband not go back to this doctor. And my friend spent $250! <sigh> So far, I have been happy with my tx with him, but he does talk a lot about movies and now this supplement thing. Guest guest
Agreed - I had the same experience at Dr. Spurlocks! The girl who is insisting that all patients must have this scan of the side of your hand (to check for how much veggie nutrients you have absorbed) is clueless and odd - I found her very awkward, and she does not know a thing about the supplements she is pushing. I went ahead and had the scan ($29) and got my score, but Dr. Spurlock ever even mentioned the scan to me at all or looked at my results! $15 of what I paid for the scan went towards a gastro supplement I bought separately, as I mentioned long term gastro issues. He did not push any supplements on me, mentioned that if I wanted to try it, but I didn't feel pressured to do /buy anything except for when with the awkward scan girl - in retrospect I should have just told her no. The whole thing does not give a good impression. Here is the link to his website: http://www.renewedvitalitymd.com/contact-us/ I have one word of caution. His staff has started pushing supplements. He does not take any insurance, but will send you too a lab for bloodwork that is in network for your insurance at your request. I believe he is looking for rent money. He started this practice with another doctor, but the other guy dropped out. So, he is speaking to various groups where he might scare up new patients. . . . .and selling supplements. . . . .which may or may not be relevant to thyroid patients. > >> > Hi, All!> > > > I saw Dr. Spurlock today. > > > > After my appointment, he asked me if we have regular meetings and if we would like to have him speak to us and/or have a meeting at his office. > > > > How many of you would be interested in attending? Guest guest
Both my sons also noticed the the young lady doing the scanning and pushing supplements seems a little awkward. It is interesting that they insist you stop to see her before and after appts. and Dr. S. has only mentioned supplements (or suggesting any to us) once. He mentioned one that is good for liver detox, but he was not pushing it at all. They are very expensive but they are high quality and the price they charge is the retail price for those products. Our scans showed that we were in the mid to upper end of the yellow range which is far higher than the majority of the people that were in that Dr. Oz picture. The thing is that we eat lots of fruit and veggies and I take a lot of supplements as is. I can't fathom what I would have to take (and eat) to get into that purple range. I don't plan on spending any time with her at our next appts. It does seem to be a very odd situation. If she were a real nutritionist, then it might be a more reasonable situation versus just being someone pushing the supplements. B. Agreed - I had the same experience at Dr. Spurlocks!
