Guest guest
My tsh is lower than that and my doc is fine with it. Looking at your T3 and T4 levels you have some room to increase your meds. TSH does not measure the amount of thyroid levels, it is the hormone that is calling to your thyroid to make t3 and t4. Yvette > > Okay... Guest guest
Your TSH is low because you are taking Cytomel. TSH is a pituitary hormone. The amount that is produced is based upon the levels of circulating thyroid hormone. So, when you add extra T4 and T3, your TSH naturally (and quite logically) decreases. The levels of T3 also have more impact than T4 (I think I read somewhere that the amount produced is 80% based on the levels of T3. Honestly, if the doctor told you to stop your meds and you know you don't feel well without them (and know you were hypo when you started), you need to find a new doctor.Good luck, B. Okay... I'm going back to the doctor who told me to stop all my and I didn't.. Life got crazy and I was afraid to stop taking them.. Here are the results we are going to review tomorrow: T4,Free(Direct) 1.14 0.82-1.77 ng/dL TSH 0.066 0.450-4.500 uIU/mL L Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy 50.5 32.0-100.0 ng/mL Triiodothyronine (T3) 134 71-180 ng/dL I currently take: Synthroid 100 mg Cytomel .5 mg once in the morning 100,000 mu of Vitamin D Why is my TSH so low?? That is the question she is going to ask and I need an AWESOME answer.. She probably is not going to listen but I want to at least hope she will... Thanks!!
