Guest guest
Val, Is it possible that week adrenals can cause a thyroid problem? If the adrenal problem is corrected, can the thyroid problem be corrected without thyroid meds? I guess what I am trying to say is with adrenal probelems there can be a thyroid conversion problem and t3 can't get into the cells. If you get the cortisol you need, possibly the conversion problem can be corrected. Is what I am thinking possible or am I just thinking too much? Thanks! Guest guest
It is possible but I have not seen it yet! DOesnlt mean it might not be the case in someone yet. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

There are many reports of normalized thyroid function after treatment of adrenal insufficiency. Search PubMed: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez/ Search for: " Reversible hypothyroidism " Also this, from , referring to a PubMed 'link': " Thyroid hypofunction has been noted in hypoadrenalism; however, it has been found counterproductive to treat this dysfunction with thyroid hormones (link). Rather, treating the glucocorticoid deficiency in reported to be more succesful in raising thyroid output. Guest guest
Bill ...thank you for posting the interesting articles. I read the one by Capt. only. Do you know who he is? Also what do you think about his every third day protocol while on HC? Have you tried it? Has anyone? Wow....kind of scary to just stop the HC for two days, or do you think he means doing this at the beginning of treatment, not while actually having been on HC for months? Thanks for your thoughts, Naffy > > > >Val, > >Is it possible that week adrenals can cause a thyroid problem? > >If the adrenal problem is corrected, can the thyroid problem be > >corrected without thyroid meds? > > > There are many reports of normalized thyroid function after > treatment of adrenal insufficiency.
