Guest guest
If you go from timed release to oil capsules, I would suggest getting your dose divided into two or more small doses, spread out through the day. The main reason Dr. S prefers timed release is that many folks cannot remember or do not want to be bothered taking several pills a day. Since I now have all medications compounded due to my intolerance for all common fillers, I use Abrams Royal for antibiotics, diabetes meds, an antihistamine and compounded vitamins and minerals. I have no problem with any of these. Well except for a calcium magnesium combination that was worse than taking nothing at all. I quit taking it and found a couple of products from iherb that I could tolerate. Making timed release meds is a specialized skill, and not all compounders are equally skilled. I may post an inquiry about Doughtery's and see what folks say about them for timed release. I do know you will pay an arm and a leg. . . . . If you do a search on this site, you will find a number of folks complaining about the quality of AR timed release T3. I would consider, however that their problem may be the T3-only protocol, and not the type of T3. One comment on WIP. They will make any combination of thyroid meds you may need. During my 7 weeks on synthetics, I had my T3 and T4 together in the same capsule twice a day. Now that I am back on my usual combination of dessicated thyroid plus a little extra T4, I have them both in the same capsule twice a day. I really like taking just one tiny capsule. Each one contains 2.5 grains (150 mg) of porcine thyroid plus 18 mcg of levothyroxine sodium. > >> > > > Name names!
