Guest guest
Hi! I've used Dougherty's for 6 years for my T3 SR compound and then for my Armour-like T3/T4. I've been great on both Rxs. We did just change my T3/T4 compound back to Naturethroid since my insurance suddenly stopped covering it earlier this year. The prices at Dougherty's have been very reasonable and they worked really hard to try to get my insurance to cover my T3/T4 compound. I pay about $35 for my T3 compound & I think it is a 90 day supply but I can't remember off the top of my head. The compounding pharmacists are really friendly and seem to really know their stuff. Hope that helps! Darien > > > Hi, All! > > We are just wondering of any of you are using Doughtery's for timed > release thyroid meds. If so, how are you doing? Guest guest
I hope you don't mind me jumping in. What form of progesterone do you take (pills, cream or liquid) and how much do you pay? Thanks. Susie

Guest guest
We had been getting my son's TR T3 at Doughtery's, but switched to Abram's Royal in Plano because Doughtery's is always so busy - it's not unusual to wait in line 15 minutes even to drop off and talking to the pharmacist while you're there is impossible. However, I think the potency was fine. We could tell a difference as he increased and he's been on a stable dose for a while. I had huge issues with Flower Mound pharmacy when I was getting both my T4 and T3 compounded. I never felt like I had the right dosage and I definitely noticed differences in the batches. I switched to the commercial synthetics when I was on doses of T4 and T3 that converted easily and noticed a big difference. I think if you want to have your thyroid compounded, you need to make sure you have it done at a place that has high volume. With Doughtery's you also need to make sure that the doc writes that the caps need to be in olive oil for the progesterone. They use peanut oil in some of their dosages. While the progesterone is compounded, the dosages seem to be fixed at 50 or 100 mg increments. I had to take two 100s to get mine without the peanut oil. I probably will switch back to Doughtery's when we're done with this round of Rxes as they take insurance which Abrams Royal does not. My compounded progesterone was $45 at Doughtery's and it's around $100 at Abram's Royal. They give you the forms to submit to insurance, but I find that to be a hassle. The good thing about Abram's Royal in Plano is that they get the refills turned around faster and I've not seen it crowded at all. . Hi, All! We are just wondering of any of you are using Doughtery's for timed release thyroid meds. If so, how are you doing? How much did you have to pay? Any comments on other compounders?
