Dear AC,

I just read your post and now I am wondering, why does this person

bother posting and/or reading here in a group dedicated to The Work,

when The Work has never worked for him? It seems to me you would be

more attracted to a group that was interested in this " Full

Awareness " that you spoke of, but then that is just my thinking?

Just wondering? Steve D.

Hi Adithya,

The full awareness that you are speaking of seems to me to be what

we aim for in question 3. of the Work. When I believe a thought,

where does the feeling hit me, where do I feel it in my body?

Describe it. Notice how that feels. The more deeply we experience

just how painful it really is to argue with reality, the more likely

we are to stop believing the painful thought. Our tolerance for pain

is great, but eventually our cumulative pain becomes intolerable and

we fall to our knees and seek another way.

So I think that you and the Work are in total agreement in

emphasizing full awareness of how stressful thoughts make us feel.

I agree I also feel the work doesnt work for me when doing the work

with a motive and katie says go in only for the truth.. or full

awareness..

When I read ACs email.. i thought he meant doing the work brought him

to full awareness.. which lessens the pain.

It just doesnt work when you want another outcome .

So what is wrong with that?

My 2 cents about Steve's honesty

He is an honest person

He had a good teacher (me)

And sometimes when he is afraid to loose something

He looses his honesty on the way

My dearest Roslyn,

Everyone is writing hostile emails to Ac and mary and tami.

Is that true? Can you know for sure it's true? How do you feel when

you think this? Who/what would you be without this thought? What

would be a/some turnarounds?

You should investigate your thoughts around this. Is that true?

Actually I don't know.

I do think though that it's easy to love those who love me. (well,

sometimes I think that) (Well, actually no, I guess that's not true

for me)(in this moment)

G-R-E-A-T is the one who can love those who don't love them. (well,

I'm not sure of that either I guess) (it's wrong to use too many

parenthesis)(is that true?)(I don't know)

But then again, my friend says, I think, that everyone loves

everyone. We just don't all know it yet.

Actually, I really don't know anything. People should/shouldn't

write hostile emails to me. I don't know.

no it isnt true..

katie says look forward to criticism.

And I suppose hostile is too extreme a term. .and it wasnt everyone.

And it was my interpretation not necessarily true.

How do i feel annoyed , wanting to defend people

without the thought all emails are welcome and its also not my business.

-TA.. I write hostile emails.. yes to myself about myself .. mostly

people dont write hostile emails.. truer most of the time.

my thinking was they sound hostile.. true.

people write kind emails.. true.
