I'm so glad you decided to join us. I am sorry I am late in responding to

this message. I always have a rest day (Sunday). Your body needs to rest

periodically. If it makes you feel any better, I got on the scale on March

31st and I've gained about 5 or 6 pounds!!!!!! I remained calm, because I've

lost inches and I know the weight must be muscle. But is was still a shock

to me! LOL Anyway, you have done a great job this week! I am proud of you.

Did you get a chance to look over the Think Light materials I sent? With

what you have seen in the packet, do you think you are consuming enough

calories? As for the water, the standard is 64 oz per day (8, 8oz glasses of

water). I am always thirsty, so it's fairly easy for me. But there are days

when I don't finish my bottle. Have a great weekend!

That's a great idea! I would definitely participate in a water challenge,

and I'm sure AMANDA would participate as well! LOL A local hospital is

promoting water consumption. For $5, anyone can stop by booths they have set

up at various malls to purchase a cute water bottle. It holds exactly 64oz,

and it's easy to carry. By the end of the day, the bottle should be empty.

I drink half my bottle in the morning before, during, and after my workouts!

I think what the hospital is doing is a good thing! I'm ashamed to say my

bottle has not been EMPTY in 2 weeks! :(:(

hi kimberly!

im all up for a rest day once a week or so... i just felt like i was

missing *too* many days (although i probably wasnt... i was just feeling

lousy about everything)... it really helps for me to keep a workout log so

i can look back and see how much i have really done.

oh my!! good for you for maintaining your composure! im not sure id do

so well... lol.

i was thinking this morning that one reason why i was in a funk has to do

with weighing myself only once a month. i always get antsy around the 3rd

week, feeling like i havent gotten anywhere and then when weigh/measure day

finally does arrive i might find that i got down on myself for no reason.

i think that using the scale/measuring tape only once every 3 or 4 weeks is

a good idea... i just need to make sure that i dont get upset until i have

something to get upset about! my weigh/measure day is next sunday (the

14th) so wish me luck :)

thankyou kimberly! you are always so wonderfully supportive and i really

appreciate that.

yes i have looked it all over and it looks very nice!! i have the recipes

and meal plans right here on my desk and i look them over quite frequently

and i will be making my shopping list up this weekend. yes i do think that

im eating enough... most likely too much and/or not the right things.

darnit, it is hard to get the proper balance... but i do think that the

info you sent me will be a big help!

wow!! i am way behind on this! i am starting out slowly... 32 oz

yesterday and will do that today as well and will try to gradually increase

it until im right up there with you. perhaps i should start a water

drinking challenge... heh heh.

That's a good idea the hospital came up with. I hope

a lot of people take advantage of it. Empty those

bottles Kim :o)!!!!!!

That's a really good idea Carolyn. That will help you

keep tabs on how much you drink each day. Here's my

typical day: At work, I have a 32 oz. that I fill up

along with my 16 oz. cup, so that gives me 48. Then I

usually drink at least 16 oz. at lunch, which gives me

the minimum 64. Then I usually squeeze one more in

before the end of the day. Then I get the rest in at

home. Depending on how much I get in at work, is how

much I need as a minimum at home. I have a pitcher in

the fridge and I can tell by how full it is how many

cups I've had, if I forget.

Sandie, Tae and Bo :o)!!!!!

Good for you! I always like new things too. I hate that dry feeling I get

when I haven't had enough water. I actually finished my bottle today, but

I'm still thirsty.....

thankyou for the good tips sandie!! drinking water is always on my mind

now so even while i am not getting all of it in my mouth, at least ive made

a start conciously... lol. actually i found that when i worked in an

office i could drink alot of water... i always had a bottle on my desk and

it was very dry in there. also i was sitting down most of the day, in one

place. now, im constantly going, running here and there as i am at home

with the kids full-time and i find that it is harder to get the water in.

sometimes i find myself very very thirsty all of a sudden... so i need to

carry the bottle around with me and the kids think that it is a fun thing to

take away and play with and... ::sigh:: LOL i think i need a water

bottle holster so i can strap it to me and not lose track of it!

You're welcome :o)!!!!! When I first started, it took

a while. I had to drink it out of a water bottle to

make it easier (don't ask me why, but for some reason

it was easier). Now it doesn't matter if it's a water

bottle or a cup, I just drink it down :o)!!!!!

The holster will definately be handy. It's always

there and you don't have to go looking for your water

:o)!!!!

You can do it!!!!!!

Sandie, Tae and Bo :o)!!!!!!
