Maybe I just don't get it. When I read BK's books, she states

that " Until you can see everything in the world as a friend, your

work is not done. " How can we ask that a certain subject/ANY SUBJECT

not be allowed on a forum like that? I thought that everything leads

to inquiry. Everything is a reflection of our own selves and that is

where the work begins. If someone brings up an off topic subject and

it bothers me, then " Welcome to the work, Kris! " What am I missing

here? If any subject does not reflect my own stories, then I have no

work to do and I am free. Why should I hold strict guidlines to

anything or anyone? It's not like we're spamming erections here.

We're all searching for the same thing, freedom from our stories,

where the pain is associated from a belief. If it leads to someone

venturing out on a limb, then so be it. If it leads to someone

leaving this forum to gain something deeper from ACIM or any other

source, then so be it. Can we not send them off with love and

welcome them back when they return? Where's Marriane when I need

her??? I can see six blank pages coming on! (Page 203 in Loving What

Is.) Oh what a night!!!

And Vivian, you may be 100 percent right about proselytizing. I

don't know anything about a " money grab " with ACIM and perhaps you

can enlighten me there, nor do I know who Tami is, although I've read

several of her posts trying to figure out what was her problem here,

but none of it really mattered to me. I was doing the work and it

was setting me free. That's all I know.

Thank you! I am a little confused about (OLIE) and

(LVTWKOFBK) Are they one and the same or two different

people? And yes I was looking for you, because you are all about

love and doing the work. Got another question while I have you

here...If this group is solely for The Work, then aren't we better

off doing the work,(away from the computer) allowing it to set us

free, and then coming on here and sharing how that happened for us?

You make some really valid points.

However, when you write: " We're all searching for the same thing, freedom from

our stories " you can't know what others are searching for.

You believe everyone on this Board is searching for freedom from their stories.

I believe some (the ACIM grp) is proselytizing and trying to steer people into

ACIM which I see as a money grab among other things.

I have no issue with " people " also checking out other opportunities. I

just don't want a board used by others for nefarious purposes and that's

what I see happening here.

By the way, I am also the one who objected to what I saw as some of Tami's

shenanigans.

Well, the way I hear it...people are doing just that (doing The Work

and coming here to share...Even when they post that The Work isn't

working for them or want things to be different in the world. It's

just thoughts and more thoughts and I thank them for sharing their

thoughts but I don't have to believe them. And I can love the one who

is sharing the thoughts because I see that people are not their

thoughts or actions. They are sweet ~ hearts believing what they are

believing.

I don't know if this helps or not.

About 2 years ago, I see that there is something more than thoughts

and mind. Mind is not all we are.

LOL ... nne if you re-read my posts I think you will see that I

never asked Tami or to leave the group. I simply expressed my

preference that what they wrote had something to do with the Work. If

you re-read my current posts I think you will see that they all make

some reference to the Work of BK. Sure I have introduced something

extra with ACIM, but that does not mean that I am off-topic just

extending the boundaries of what is being discussed. I would be off-

topic if I posted why a Made R7 driver had superior ball flight

compared to other drivers. But as you know I am way to kind and civil

to the members of this group to make such an error.

Have a beautiful day :)

ACIM a money grab? Shall we consider the facts?

ACIM (Ken Wapnick)

CD $16-50 $9-00

DVD $24-95 $13-50

Book (HC) $24-95 $20-00

1 day seminar

$250-00 $50-00

Given what Ken is charging for his materials, I think it would be

truer to say that is the one making the money grab. Not that

this makes bad or sinful, just a shrewd business woman.

Well...

This is not about being right.

Their motive is their business. My business is:

whom am I, when I believe they want to proselytize? And who am I

whitout that thought?

Love,

PS: by the way: " knowing " here means the same as " believing " , don't

you think?

It isn't so much not feeling safe. I take this board seriously and my story is

others should as well.

And yet alot of what I read here is outside the Work: Whether it is addithya

pontificating or someone on an ACIM trip or Tami putting forth some obscenity

and calling it the Work.

I guess what I'm saying is that given those examples, this isn't a place I'd be

comfortable opening up on my issues, although many of the people appear to be

quite wonderful.

The following is exactly the type crap I am referring to. It's NOT what I'm on

this Board to read. Have some........... and tell them to go to their own board.

Vivian

<There is a book called A Course In Miracles. Before getting bogged

down on other folks understanding of this book, I recommend that you

get the book, or borrow it and read it for yourself and see if it

reasonates with you, I believe there are free online copies of this

book. ACIM is a self-study Course, it encourages one to get in touch

with one's internal Teacher and to be guided. There are A Course in

Miracle listervs that deal exclusively with what this book is about

and although The Work is a very useful tool with some of the life

situations one may get stuck in and the process is not contrary to

the teachings of ACIM, ACIM as a self-study forgiveness process goes

so much deeper and this listserv is not set up for that.>

I don't know if this post was meant for me, but I am a very grateful Course

student already!

Well, it's not time for you to open up your issues, it's time for

Tami, addithya and someone opening up their issues.

Can you take THEM seriously? Instead of the board (aka yourself)?

And I don't think that you can make yourself taking them seriuosly.

Love,

What's IN IT FOR *YOU*??

Well, you're here, so there must be something to being here, for you.

I don't think that anyone *should* be here. The world is big enough

for any of us. And everyone of us takes his world to wherever he

goes. If you don't get it here, you get it somewhere else in your

world. And if you don't get it soon, you will get it before the end

of time.

That said...

What for do you need what you expected to get here? If you got it,

what would you do next?

Love,
