ADA’s has published evidence-based nutrition practice

guidelines for RDs on disorders of lipid metabolism,

adult wt management & critical illness.

ADA’s online Evidence Analysis Library summarizes for

RDs the results of the best available research on

topics in nutrition & health & offers recommendations

for RDs to follow in their tx of clients & pts.

ADA’s evidence-based practice guidelines have been

developed by a combination of RDs who are experts in

their field & specialists trained in conducting &

analyzing scientific research.

The guidelines have been reviewed by multidisciplinary

teams consisting of RDs, MDs, pharmacists, RNs &

professors from institutions such as Harvard Medical

School, Univ of Pittsburgh-School of Medicine, Univ of

Texas, Univ of Tennessee, Oregon Health & Science

Univ, Univ of Pennsylvania & Univ of Nebraska.
