1st meeting of new autism group (Houston)

Hi every one,

I am starting a new support group in the Houston area for those of us with

non-verbal children who are 12 years and older.

I often, find myself lost and disconnected whenever i attend general

meetings

for parents with autism. I feel this segment of population (non-verbal

autism) has been neglected especially with the older children. In

particular those of us who have tried every thing there is and still have

not made that leap to main stream,

The group will be for support, networking, information sharing, advocacy and

socialization.

If you are interested to join, our first meeting will be January 19 at 7:00

pm. Most likely will be at my house unless there will be more people than I

can handle. Eventually, we will find a common place to meet regularly.
