Sib Connections The Center is excited to announce our first support group for brothers and sisters of children with autism spectrum disorders to start in January 2012. The group will provide siblings a change to connect with other kids their age in a fun, dynamic environment! The sibling support group will be led by Jeanna ez, Certified Child Lide Specialist, and Dr. Schutte, Licensed Psychologist. For more information please email mailto:nwebb@...? or call . Feeding Clinic February 2012 , Behavioral Consultant at The Center, and Dr. Olive will be providing a feeding clinic in February of 2012. Space may be available pending participant confirmation. The feeding therapy program is implemented using principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) Instructional techniques include evidence-based strategies such as differential reinforcement of an alternative behavior (DRA), sequential reinforcement, simultaneous reinforcement, shaping, texture fading, a bite size fading. We use data collection to monitor progress and demonstrate program success. Family participation is required. Collaboration between home, school, and other therapy environments are encouraged.
