Guest guest
Hi Everyone, It has been a very long time since I posted due to other life issues. I am hypothyroid with MS. I am on time-released T3 and doing much better. My T4 was never an issue, only the T3 was low, so I wanted to take a conservative approach. Before starting this regimen, I was having palpitations and saw a cardiologist in McKinney; he gave me a prescription for a beta blocker, but said that hypothyroidism could be the underlying cause, because my heart was in great condition. I asked him if I could try a T3 only regimen and he was not opposed to it. He suggested that I take the beta blocker if the T3 didn't stop the fluttering, but it did. I went to see Dr. Alfred in who is an alternative medicine practitioner. He takes Medicare. He will prescribe Armour for those who want it. He has also offered the use of his office for meetings by the group. Dr. is very knowledgable, but I stopped seeing him because he didn't respect my time. The doctor who started me on the T3 only regimen was Dr. Claude Krusz in Dallas. He is a neurologist with an endocrinology and pharmacology background. Dr. Krusz does not accept Medicare anymore and he does not prescribe Armour, but he will help those with hypothyroid by stepping outside the box. I hope this information will be helpful for others in the group. Blessings, Kim Fatica
