Guest guest
I had to pull my son out of Kirk Elementary 6 years ago when they threatened to call the police every time he had a meltdown. They had diagnosed him with Asperger's and had a inadequate IEP which they never followed. Long story, short: we lost in due process and have paid private school tuition for the last 6 years even though Kirk is a only block from my house. My son is now a sort-of normal yet quirky teenager and not an inmate. Of course, I have continued to pay property taxes to support CFISD for the past 11 years, even though they were not able to provide an adequate education for my son or my other children. As a result, all three of my children are in private schools. Well, 2 days ago, I look down the street from my driveway and there is an enormous tower being constructed on Kirk property. They will turn the power on on this tower next Saturday, March 26th. Now I have to deal with the property value and health consequences in addition to paying for all of this through my taxes. We had no notice, no voice. It was all constructed during Spring Break. Although, I've heard that the contract was signed a long time ago in order to avoid a new regulation that would have required community notice. Cy-Fair is doing this all over the area. I've heard there is a tower on Lowery, Feist, and Langham Creek YMCA property. If anyone knows what I can do about this, please let me know. I have the name T Mobile supervisor and the CFISD communication director. I'm not sure where else to turn. Legislators? News? School Board? I have always read about the advocating that so many of you do, but I can't seem to find that information myself. If you could help, please contact the following and let them know how unhappy parents of those with autism are about this. T Mobile supervisor: St. shawn.stjohn@... Cy Fair ISD Communications: Janet Ward - CFISD Communications Janet.ward@... Also, there is an email set up to collect and distribute information. Loe.kirk.tmobile@... If you want more information, you can request it there. Also, they have asked if you contact anyone to please send them a copy. Thanks for any help or information that you can offer.
