Thanks Kev, I appreciate your input, I know you have been through all of this as well. I really do feel like my brain is already damaged, and I have lost control. This is so scarey, and I have no support group around me to help me through. I can't even stand myself when I'm like this, but I'm stuck with me. I'm also still very angry about GSK and the advertisements that paxil is non habit forming. Then all of a sudden that commercial is banned from the air, give me a break!!

LOL! I used to tell my boyfriend that when he would say how hard it was to see me like this! I would say "how do you think I feel, I'm stuck with me. No matter where I go, here I am!"

It will get better! It seems so typical to have a few good days & then "Boom" it all comes back again. Soon though you will have more & more good days & fewer & less intense bad days. Hang in there!

Ok, this is getting worse, I don't know if i should go to the E.R. or not...I'm in really bad shape here. I'm scared if I go to E.R. they will put me in the phych ward, where they prescribe these horrific drugs. Been off paxil for 8 days, weened off for 3 months. It's either to the E.R. or take some paxil, I can't take this anymore. Having to many physical, psychological, etc. side effects. Any recomendations???????

Dear Vicki,

You said:

<<Last evening the stinking " ZAPS " started again, and it was like one long

continuous zap all night long. Horrable anxiety again, and very vivid

hellish nitemares.

I guess what I'm asking is did you guys have your symptoms off and on like

this? A good day,, then lot's of bad ones? Also, I'm reading that people

are often brain damaged by these drugs. How do you know exactly what

condition your brain is really in, are their test I can get done? Any input

would be greatly appreciated. It's almost 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon on

Sunday here, and I'm still " zapping out " >>

** Stop the 5-HTP. Take 300 mg. of magnesium 2-3x a day. Take 500 mg

of calcium 2x a day (at different times from the magnesium).

The zaps - you have to go through them. This is your brain reacting to

being off the drug (misfiring). No matter when you discontinue it you will

experience this. Knwo that others have gone through this before you and are

still here. If you go to the ER the only thing they will do is tell you to

take the drug.

Would people please help to ease Vicky's mind on this by sharing their

experiences with the zaps from Paxil? Thanks.

Regards,
