Lorree not sure if this helps, but we did a minimal amt of testing due to cost and infancy in testing. I mean I didn’t take gluten away due to testing, or treat yeast due to testing. I treated the body as if it were in a weakened state affected by many factors: metals, infections, all contributing to immune dysfunction. So I went ahead and took many things away that are known to be problemtic, not just gluten. Sugar is a huge problem for humans but especially our kids. Not just a low sugar diet, but a diet even removing fruits/grains...almost a ketogenic diet to help with infections. We think this is why we no longer have seizures also. I often couldn’t afford the testing and the treatment. So I often skipped testing if it all around made sense for a healthier body. I mean....all humans are affected and will have varying degrees of immune function. We all have triggers and exposures...so the treatments regardless of disease will often be the same too. Gluten doesn’t cause autism...it’s just one factor suppressing the immune system. Also though when you remove gluten, you often remove many poisons in the standard american diet. When Mcs is not longer an option, good things will come is how I saw it.

Again not sure if this helps or makes it more complicated. The way I looked at it, there was no time to guess or to wait for real help. Labs just drove me in circles. Rather I just created a very healty lifestyle and added like glutathione, chelation, hbot, colon cleansing, high dose nutrients, mito support etc....

Sometimes I relied on labs to get my footing. It’s not simple though and you have to really trust the practioner.

I think this is why most don’t believe autism or aspergers or pdd are diseases. They think it’s genetic and just the way a person is. Whether autism or adhd, the body is weakened and during a critical time in development. My son started as classical autism and severe in presentation, he was a regressive case. It really is confusing and much easier to accept it as a lifelong condition. Once you go down the “treatment road†it is very twisty and exhausting. You are very persistent and I wish you well on your journey. I called doctors around the country and around the world to learn how to implement steps for our kids. I only wish we could have of course prevented, or at least had treatment right away...rather than searching and pioneering. My son is doing great, truly...but I’ll never know what he could have accomplished if I didn’t have to search as you are now. Though recovered we are still learning everyday to continue to work on immune function and for lifelong health. I’m learning and working on diet as a main treatment everyday still.

All the best

yes the dentist will allow someone to come to her office to do the blood draw. Sent from my iPhone

If you are in the Houston area, I known someone who will do but she comes to the house. Will the dentist allow it?

If so, email me at ginaam@... and will give you her contact info.

traveling phlebotomist needed

I am looking for someone who knows a travelling phlebotomist to take blood from my son while he has some dental work done under IV sedation next week. We are in the Houston area. I know its short notice but I just found out yesterday afternoon that the dentist will allow this. I want to have his yeast, heavy metals, gluten peptides, etc done but also need to know where to send the blood to for the testing. Can anyone help?

thanks.

Loree: The anesthesiologist who did my son's IV sedation in the dentist's office was more than happy to draw the blood for us as long as it did not require any special handling.  Just an idea. • 2 weeks later...

I am a phlebotomist in WV so I am not much help. Have you doctor write a order -- even one of their staff members can go there and do this if they so desire. But if you have a Lab Corp there or another nation wide organization they can honor the doctors order and run the lab work. If not find a DAN doctor to order the test.
