O_o? I've had no problem opening PowerPoint files in either the

original Office X or Office 2004.

Unless you need the latest, greatest beta version, just skip all the

X11.app stuff if you want to run it under OS X. There's a Mac-enhanced

version of OpenOffice out there called NeoOffice; the interface is

still not the most Mac-like, but it's a lot more user-friendly both to

install and to use than the X11 version, in my opinion.
