Dr. prescribed Cortisol...would appreciate comments

Hello All,

I'm currently on 75 MCG TR -T3 only as I'm having conversion and RT3 issues. My

FT4 and FT3 are at bottom of their ranges. I had initially felt better on

beginning treatment, but no so much now. I struggle with fatigue and a strange,

hypo related symptom of plantar fasciitis.

Dr. prescribed 5 MG of cortisol to take with food in the mornings. My latest

labs said I was 14 at 9 am...in February my former doctor was worried it was

high at 22 at 10:30 am. Apparently I bounce around during the day.

My question is about the cortisol. I have read on other forums about people

needing cortisol, and dosing schedules for creams. I was always thankful that

wasn't my particular problem, but perhaps I'm heading that way?

Would anyone be willing to share their experience or thoughts about a low-dose

of cortisol. I didn't get to ask many questions at the visit as we were pretty

rushed.

I'm a bit hesitant to start something that I might not be be able to stop.

Thank you!

Spoon
