Or high-jacked, or something.

It was strange, Saturday morning, I sat down at my computer desk

and noticed it was already turned on. The monitor was off, but

the PC was running. I'm pretty sure I had turned it off. Then

I saw something I had never seen before, a sign said, " Someone

else is logged onto your computer " , and on the lower left side it

said, " Turn off whizbang " . So I clicked on that, and it seemed to

turn off. I spent quite awhile online Saturday, as it was my day

off, and had no more problems that day.

Then last night, I was returning a post to someone, and the thing

went nuts on me. The portion of his post I hadn't answered yet

starting sinking lower and lower, fast. The little button on the

right side kept going down and down. It was as if someone held down

the " Enter " key. I couldn't make it stop, but I think I managed to

save the post.

Then, when I tried to access my email, I clicked on " Digest 1815 "

and *3* images of it popped up, overlapped! When I " X " ed them out,

as soon as I clicked on the last " X " , 3 more popped up! There was

also a message that whizbang was logged onto my computer, and I tried

to block him out several times. I don't like not having control, so

I tried to shut down the computer. It would start to shut down, and

then make a loud whirring noise and start up again. This happened

over and over, until I decided to pull the plug.

I decided I needed a firewall. Cost me something like $83.47 for a

download (with a disc on the way snail-mail), and I guess I answered

some questions wrong, which resulted in blocking myself off the inter-

net! Got that straightened out with the ISP today. Haven't seen any

sign of whizbang since, and haven't had any more control problems yet.

Just thought I'd share that PC nightmare I had last night, from about

midnight to 4 AM. I felt violated, was really rattled, and couldn't

go to sleep knowing I had *lost internet connection*! Hopefully,

the situation is under control now.
