Loni, I read that a few wks ago somewhere on the web. They even said

there was a support group called " the spoon theory " . Anyway, I read

it and made several copies. I gave one to my counselor, who passed on

to other clients that deal w/chronic pain. Then I also gave it to a

couple friends and my 4 sisters. What I deal with, what we all deal

with here..........she got it and understood it. Not that she ever

doubted me before. Now when I have to turn her down for lunch or

something else, she will say, " I understand, you are out of spoons. "

Yes, Sis today I am out of spoons. But please try me tomorrow or the

next day.

Thanks for sharing it with everyone. I think it is very well written

and really is said in context that people will better understand.

Love,

Lucy

Thanks Lucy,

Yes.. this theory even my husband can get a grasp on. It makes pain

tangible. It even helped me come to terms with my pain levels. Helped

me understand that I'm not 'just being lazy' when my pain levels are

high.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it also.

Loni
