Guest guest
Good morning! I live in the DFW area and was diagnosed with Graves' Disease in December 2011. I thought I'd found a wonderful doctor until he wanted to overdose me on my MMI based on my suppressed TSH. My T3 and T4 are now normal on 10 mg MMI and he wants to up me to 15 mg for the TSH, because it's " still suppressed " . I understand that the TSH can be suppressed for a long time after the start of treatment and shouldn't be looked at as a dosing value. Can anyone suggest a good GD endo in the DFW area who looks at the correct values for dosage and doesn't push RAI? To me, RAI is not an option...I have a huge problem destroying a healthy gland that's doing what it's designed to do and is only protecting itself. Thanks so much!
