Project Coordinator Position Open for Texas Microboard Collaboration The Texas Microboard Collaboration provides individuals with disabilities a system to achieve self-determination with support from people who know and care about them. The Arc of Texas is soliciting applications for the Texas Microboard Collaboration project director. Microboards are non-profit organizations made up of small groups of family members and friends who provide knowledge and support that some individuals with disabilities need to obtain services and supports for a self-determined life. An understanding of Medicaid Waiver programs is beneficial since microboards can be certified as providers. The Texas Microboard Collaboration is supported in part by a grant from TCDD. Job Information & DescriptionFull-Time Project Coordinator for a non-profit organization. The Microboard Coordinator is an innovative position responsible for the overall achievement of the project’s goals under the direction of the Director of Development. This position will supervise regional coordinators; develop reports; and provide public presentations, trainings, webinars, technical assistance and support for The Texas Microboard Collaboration statewide.Position Type: Full Time TemporaryPosition Level: Exempt StaffPosition Reports To: Development DirectorSalary: $36,000 to $37,000Other Benefits: Employer paid benefits: Health, Dental, Life & LTD, as well as 403b after 1 year of service.Travel Required: 30% of the time (approximate)Starts On: 23-Feb-11 Job RequirementsThe Coordinator position will require some travel and will also use technology such as web cam to provide meetings. This coordinator should be a creative thinker, have marketing skills or be willing to learn marketing skills; be able to work independently; be organized; have good writing skills and work well with a wide variety of individuals such as parents, self-advocates and professionals.
