Guest guest
Vicki, It sure does seem that way doesn't it? I have pain that includes my entire body, but I will have some flares that center in the lower half. For the last week or so I have been hurting terribly. My knees hurt to walk or move - if I bend them they really start yelling. My feet hurt as if there are knives sticking in them when I walk and when I'm just sitting they ache and burn terribly. My hips, lower back, and upper thighs hurt if I try to move - makes me have to hold on to things at times to get somewhere. And if I've been sitting for awhile -- I will be paying for it when I get up - or even try to change positions. And my calves feel as if they had charlie horses in them and the muscles haven't recovered yet. Wow, was that descriptive enough? - LOL I have piriformis syndrome as well, so I always have an intense burning in the sciatic area and it travels as well. I have kids to help out, but that also means that I have kids to take care of and provide chauffeur service to. I'm not sure I'm to the cane part yet - tho not sure I could use one the way my arms act up - I'd sure hate to go that route since I'm only 32 -- what will it be when I'm 40? Oh well, no sense worrying about it now - not like it will do me any good. ((((HUGS)))) a > I've noticed that in alot of us that we've all be having problems with everything lower below our waist. I had mine start at my knees and then move up. Now it's both hips my knees both legs and ankles my feet dont seem to hurt but given time they will.my right wrist hurts shoulder and elbow but that is being looked into. lemme tell ya that is going to make carrying a cane something of a difficulty. > > Hugs and love > > Vicki/Lady Vader > Co-owner > > > > > I am Lady Vader, for those who know me respect me, For those who dont fear me. For I am your worst nightmare. Cross me and feel my wrath.
Guest guest
Vicki, Yeah, this fibro likes to rear it's ugly head all over doesn't it. I wonder if I should be thankful that this flare is mostly in my lower half and that it gave my upper half a little break - not completely, but not as bad as the lower. It is kind of hard to be thankful when you hurt so badly tho... I guess maybe I need to try harder and tell myself that it could always be (and has been) worse. Isn't it awful that we are so young and feel so old???? And, no, things are definitely not looking good for us fibromites. ((((HUGS)))) a > a, > > Oh believe me hun. When I flare I flare all over, it doesnt center in just one reagon LOL. I have other problems to go with my fibro. I have bursitis in both hips. I have patella femoral diseas in both knees so that just about kills me. Then of course add that to the fibro and it seems lately it lies to me and has been flaring just in the lower half and that's all that hurts where it feels as if you've got red hot pokers being stabbed into ur body. my calves feel as if they are constently cramped I cant sit stand or walk for a long period of time with out legs back or other parts deciding that it hates me. > AS for the age portion of that discussion I am 30 ur only 2 years older than me sweetie and believe me the doctor prescribed the cane for me to use. And I may not have kids but I ahve a 9 year old niece that thinks I can do all sorts of things and can run a mile. Not going to happen and now that I have a cane it really isnt going to happen. > > Things are not looking better for the fibromites. > > Love and Hugs > Vicki/ Lady Vader > > Co Owner > > > > > I am Lady Vader, for those who know me respect me, For those who dont fear me. Guest guest
I would rather have the pain in my upper body vs my lower body....with the lower body I find it hard to get up from a chair etc and need help sometimes...Maybe I'm not realizing the pain in the upper body, but to me at this time it seems like the lesser of the two evils...JMHO Hugz and white light blessingz...I remain.. ~~~~~~~~~~ Namaste Anya Re: lower body pain Vicki, Yeah, this fibro likes to rear it's ugly head all over doesn't it. Guest guest
My legs, sometime hips, but especially from the knees through my toes (muscles, bones, everything) always hurt at night, more so if I've had an active day (I often do, I have 3 kids). I sit with a heating pad over my legs each evening. The only time I notice upper body pain is when I wake up. My shoulders and elbows (of all things!) hurt while I lie in bed and I'm never able to get comfortable enough to fall back asleep. > I would rather have the pain in my upper body vs my lower body....with the lower body I find it hard to get up from a chair etc and need help sometimes...Maybe I'm not realizing the pain in the upper body, but to me at this time it seems like the lesser of the two evils...JMHO > Hugz and white light blessingz...I remain.. > ~~~~~~~~~~ > Namaste > Anya
