Guest guest
I have had that happen and have made all of it into shavings and re-milled it with some of my herbals that have a different oil added in. Also have made bath salts using it. I specialize in the pure olive oil Castille soaps and never add preservatives or scents due to allergies. When I make the specialty soaps they are all re-milled. To keep it from going rancid during hot months, I always place the sealed plastic containers of it in the freezer. Doesn't affect it in anyway bad. need help fast! help! i just made two batches of different kinds of cp soaps, insulated them 24 hours as the recipe suggested, unmolded them and cut them and they broke, all of them! never had this problem before, do i have to throw it away or is there something i can do? what caused this? by the way, a garden eastward has an excellent eo for acne. thanks, melissa
Guest guest
Hello, On our assessment here at the hospital, we ask patients significant problems related to obesity, previous tried methods of weight loss and success, energy level, gi problems, favorite foods, eating out (where? frequency?), highest adult weight, lowest adult weight, usual body weight, activity (type? duration?), labs (if they had any done), medications, medical/social history/family support, and nutrition history (24 hour recall). There is also a section to check off information as discussed with patient including suggestions for pre-op, nutritional considerations after gastric bypass, surgical changes to stomach/gi, capacity of post-surgery stomach, diet progression, dumping syndrome, chewing foods thoroughly, potential food intolerance after surgery, weight loss plateaus, protein and water needs. I hope this helps you. Have a great day, Hamilton Fort Walton Beach Medical Center Fort Walton Beach, Florida Need help fast! Hi, My name is Carmen Urrunaga, and I am new to the listserve. We are going to start doing gastric bypass sx at our hospital in the very near future, and I am starting to get calls from patients who need a nutrition assessment completed prior to sx. Our surgeons were going to take care of that, but there has been a change in plans. Just my luck, they need the assessments done TODAY!!! I am wondering if there are any specifics that need to be included in the assessment? I know there needs to be documentation of the various weight loss efforts attempted as well as a weight history, but other than that is it a "run of the mill" assessment? I appreciate any feedback, and if you have an assessment form I could look at that would be great. Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Hi, Carmen, I, also, am new to bariatric surgery issues. It appears that I may be asked to be involved in a screening process for local bariatric surgery referrals to out-of-town surgery centers. This would be through a home health care agency with which I am affiliated. I would appreciate hearing of any information that you may receive from your inquiry. Thanks, Becky Rolph, MS,RD,CDE RLR6333@... Erie, PA

Guest guest
Hi , It sounds like you have become hyper-reactive to it now where it well bother you in even tiny amounts where it doesn't bother others to a noticable amount. like in chemical sensativitys. and it does sound like mold toxins may have contaminated everything and also some cross contamination going on. you may have to get tottally away from everything and avoid as many chemicals, perfumes, ect. as possible to fell better. have you knowticed any other smells bothering you? these may manifest later on if you have developed CS. it's very possible that your car and other things were cross contaminated. your cloths may be contamunated, ect. the best thing first to do is get yourself away from it and everything it has contaminated. theres no quick easy answers for dealing with your stuff. but you need to worry about advoidance. you may need to remove contaminated belongings from your liveing space, or have someone not ill from it do it. they should wear a good mask. > > > Hello, > > I have a serious problem and not sure what to do at this point. Guest guest
, you might try wet vac. on your car seats, dont know if it well help. paper seams to get contaminated easy, you may have to make copies and throw them away try haveing someone clean office, chair, desk ect. with soapy water and maybe a little ammonia in with it may help. worth trying, but cant say it well work. if you have storage shed I would put contaminated items there for now and deal with later. may help some cloths to wash with ammonia,?? just have to try and see.dicections on bottle, can add a little dawn dishwashing liwuid, may help, but no bleach!! I wouldn't use bleach at all. if someone can clean room and rest of house with soapy water and a little ammonia mixed in, may help. maybe if you get away from it all for a bit your reaction might calm down some, no garentees on that either. > > Hi , > It sounds like you have become hyper-reactive to it now where it well > > > ************************************** See what's free at > http://www.aol.com. > > > > > >
Guest guest
Your case sounds to me like classic poisoning with trichothecene mycotoxins. I guess there was some toxigenic mold in that AC unit and when you turned it on the living mold started producing the so-called secondary metabolites - mycotoxins. Even if you killed the mold with the disinfectant the toxins remained. Dead spores and other fungal mass can carry mycotoxins. Killing mold isn't going to solve the problem. But if you want to try again, don't use any disinfectant. Use vinegar, borax, hydrogen peroxide or maybe ammonia - they are best at killing mold. The bad news about these toxins is that they are unfortunately VERY long lasting. Years and years may pass before they break down on their own. The good news is that they are usually eliminated from the human body very fast as soon as the exposure ends. Their damage to the human body is cumulative over time, but they themselves don't accumulate in the body so readily. The mysterious happenings regarding objects and clothing from that room can only be explained by cross-contamination with mycotoxins (most likely trichothecenes such as Satratoxins). You are (or have become) extremely susceptible to them so they are devastating for you, while other people have no problems. I've been seeing the same scenario for over 15 years. That's another reason why this illness seems to be so elusive and hard to prove to others - and often dismissed as psychological despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Right now I think you need to completely change your entire environment, and not take anything with yourself - including clothes. Some of the older moldies can explain you the exact procedure. It's a comprehensive and delicate operation which must be done with *utmost* care so that no amount of the toxin gets to a new place with you. All this may sound drastic, and yes it really sucks, but it's the best and quickest way to regain your health. The objects at your workplace are probably also very contaminated - don't know what to advise you regarding this. It would be best to completely avoid the office as well if possible. Allergists are almost always totally useless. They don't understand how mycotoxins can adversely affect humans. They are knowlegeable only about classic hystamine allergic reaction, which is almost certainly not present in your case. The only benefit of doing classic allergy prick tests is to obtain the proof that you're not *allergic* to molds. However, that doesn't mean you're not supersensitive to their mycotoxins. Hope this helped somewhat. > > > Hello, > > I have a serious problem and not sure what to do at this point. Through the process of elimination, I traced my most recent toxic reactions to a window air conditioner, also. After buying a new air conditioner, for my bedroom, three years in a row, I finally realized that , for reasons that I may never figure out, these air conditioners were making me sick. Last year's air conditioner took only one month before it began growing enough mold to make me sick. This year I am hoping to get by on the two other air conditioners in my apartment, which I have no reaction to. So far, luckily, it has been a very cool, almost cold, summer in New York City, where I live. I would like to share another observation, from my " sick building " reactions over the past six years. I have seen, in myself, and my father, how our bodies have " learned " to react to mold and mycotoxin exposures, whenever we are re-exposed to these triggers. Our body's appear to need ever smaller and smaller time periods of exposure to these triggers, to produce a reaction. Based on my personal history, I am bringing your attention to the fact that, whereas in YOUR past, you needed to LIVE in a " sick " house to get a toxic reaction, all that is necessary, NOW, is for you to enter your home for 5 minutes to pick up your mail, or check your electric meter etc. to produce the same extreme toxic reaction in your body. Your body's reaction, once begun, might last for days, or weeks, before your body stops reacting to your 5 minute exposure. Remember, its NOT the material you were exposed to, that causes illness. If it were, then EVERYONE in the room would get sick. Its YOUR BODY'S REACTION to that material that is making you sick. If this sounds " unreasonable " to you, then you have just learned your first lesson in this new world you have become a part of. All of us who suffer, have a very " unreasonable " illness. Therefore, don't expect anyone, even your closest friends and relatives to see the " reason " in our complaints. Our insistence that we are physically sick, only makes the " normals " think we are mentally ill. After all, they are not sick, when with you, in the same room. The more medically inclined, of your friends, and your doctors, will try to persuade you to " realize " that you just have allergies or asthma, not some " fictional " toxic illness. Don't believe them. I have had allergies and asthma since the age of 9 (I'm now 64). What we have is something different. Asthma and allergy medications will only give partisl relief, at best. The only " treatment " for what we have, is avoidance of places and situations that trigger our toxic reaction. Please remember, after your 5 minutes back in your house, your body starts thinking that you are living there again, and starts a reaction that will make you as sick as when you WERE living there. We are NEVER CURED of our potential to have a reaction that makes us sick. If you walk into someone's home, and you sense some familiar illness " trigger " , you have two choices. You can either politely try to explain why you can not stay, so as to not hurt their feelings. This 5 minute courtesy, on your part, will make you sick as a dog for 2 weeks. Or, you can immediately turn, and run out the door, and call them on your cell phone, with your explanation why you were so discourteous, and you may only be sick for a day or two, from your 30 second exposure. Its your choice. My misfortune was to have been raised to be very courteous. I am trying to break that habit. Remember, they are going to think we are " NUTS " , whether we are courteous or not, after we give them our explanation. You have not exactly entered the " Twilight Zone " . But, you have entered a new phase of your life, in which you now have to live a " Defensive Environmental Life " , in the same sense that you are a " Defensive Driver " , because you want to survive the experience of driving. Best of Luck Joe
