Guest guest
" The house will be cleared of mold next week with the fog bombs, and dirt will be added around the outside edge of the home as backfill to prevent water from entering the home, Ecklund said. It will then be readied for a new family, he said. " " West said her children have developed asthma and allergies from living in the home. " " Stufflebeem said a fog bomb, similar to those used to kill insects, would be ineffective against the mold because it wouldn't reach behind drywall, and even if it killed the mold, it's still just as dangerous dead as it is alive. " " Whether it's alive or dead, it's just as infective, " he said. _http://www.pjstar.com/stories/061707/REG_BDGAQ9OJ.031.php_ (http://www.pjstar.com/stories/061707/REG_BDGAQ9OJ.031.php) Sharon ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
There is no law that says they can't rent it out again. No law that says they can't rent any place with any level of mold. If people get sick, they can sue after the fact, right? (If they can afford a lawyer) Nomatter how sick they are. After all, according to all these 'experts' its harmless. Their illness must be caused by something else. Stress...right?
Guest guest
it's not really about affording a lawyer, most good lawters well do it on percentage of wins, contingency. the problem is finding a lawyer that knows enough about mold illness to know when he has a good case. --- In , LiveSimply <quackadillian@...> wrote: > > There is no law that says they can't rent it out again. Guest guest
The difficulty probably varies from place to place but in some places, even if the evidence someone has is very strong, people's lives are simply not worth enough to be worth the lawyers time (relative to other things they feel they could be doing with that time) They want cases that will settle quickly... They figure their time is worth at least $300/400 hour. Offices, staff, their education, mortgages etc. are expensive.. This means that people with mold cases have a very hard time finding lawyers at all. Finding a *good* lawyer is even harder. Guest guest
I have to second Live's comments - they wanna settle quick and avoid the potentiality of being out of pocket for expert witnesses and other court expenses - have seen it happen twice up close in the last year, once on my case with a hospital that made a medical error on me with life-threatening consequences and then just this last month with the atty working on the mold case I'm close to attempted to undermine access to punitive damages - he hasn't even been funding the science of the case so it's not like he's out of pocket on the proof. Disgusting. ~H.
