I got an email address for the TEA and sent the below e-mail. Their facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/pages/Texas-Education-Agency/136486219721300?sk=wall and I posted a comment there as well. Hutchins

To Whom it May concern:Today I saw a video that utterly disgusts me! The video takes place during a hearing for an 18 year old boy named from Keller ISD. has autism. The video clearly shows the Hearing Officer, Larry Craddock sleeping! There is absolutely no denying that this grown man is absolutely asleep during a legal proceeding that affects the lives of this young man and his family, who have been through enough already and more than you will ever understand! And then, the Reps and attorneys from Keller ISD and Craddock himself, denied that he was sleeping, which is really insulting, because as you will see, he is flat out sleeping. Not only is this man sleeping on the job, but he is not doing his job! This kind of behavior and then dishonesty to try and cover up is frightening to those of us in the autism community. Education is something that all of our children need, whether they are gifted and talented, the average student or they have a disability. The Education system is also supposed to promote fairness and honesty. How are Mr. Craddock's, Keller ISD or their attorneys actions fair or honest? Another point I would like to make is that the Texas Education System has been struggling financially recently. Why do we need to spend taxpayer dollars on un-professional Administrative Law Judges such as Mr. Craddock? I would much rather spend my tax dollars on actually helping and trying to educate children with special needs, which the educators are supposed to be doing in the first place. The Autism community would like some answers. There is no hiding what happened or denying that Mr. Craddock was sleeping. This young man has a hard enough time and he needs someone who is going to actually take his case seriously, not fall asleep on him. Craddock needs to either resign or be fired. He is not fulfilling his obligations as an Administrative Law Judge. Hundreds of thousands of people have seen this video and the autism community refuses to let this drop. Please provide us with answers and a solution to get this young man the fair hearing that he deserves as well as a public apology to this young man and his family.
