I emailed , Spurlock's new asst. This is what she told me:

One hour appointments will be $295, ½ hour appointments $195

Would you be so kind as to share what they told you?Yes.The office is called Renewed Vitality and is located at 9535 Forest Lane Suite 221 in Dallas.

Dr. Spurlock will have another doctor with him, Dr. s.Follow up patients will now have a 30 minute appointment.  Lab facilities will be available in the office soon.Appointments will run $195 for a 30 minute appointment.  A 60 minute appointment will be $295.

The appointment that I had already made at his current office will now be at the new office.  I was instructed to sign a release so that Dr. Spurlock could take my records with him to the new office.I think that is all.

I was wanting to get a couple of other family members in to see him, but now we really can't do it.  I will try to keep seeing him, but I won't be able to go as often.  I need to call back and see if he wants to run labs before the appointment so that I don't have to make a follow up appointment to get the results.

Whoa!!! I was so pleased to find a doctor that seemed to genuinely care about

my health & well-being vs. making a profit. My insurance does not pay for my

visits or lab work with Dr. Spurlock. The lab work has nearly caused us to go

broke, but it was with Quest Diagnostics & what can ya do?? Office visits with

Dr. Spurlock cost $83 & I never ever felt rushed. In fact, at times I thought

he could have wrapped it up a little quicker! HA. Sooo, he's now basically

tripling his office visit costs?? Wow. Does it still take over 2 months to be

able to get in for an appt??

I'm happy for him in his new endeavor, but shocked to hear of the substantial

price increase. Guess he's gotta pay for the new place somehow!

I was scheduled for an appt and they called me. I was bummed about the price. It

is definitely more expensive. . Hope he really is that good! My appt is at

the end of Sept. They lady said I could see his partner but I don't want to risk

it.

Yes, the cost of the office visits is going up and as you note part of the reason is to pay for the new facilities.  He had a good setup at EHC that allowed him to pass the savings onto the patients.  His new rates are pretty much inline with what other docs that provide that type of treatment (i.e., no insurance taken, longer office visits, etc.).
