Guest guest
We were told by the neurologist that taking high doses of FOLIC ACID will not increase cerebral (brain) folate levels, it will only increase serum (blood) folate levels. To increase the available folate in the brain, you have to use FOLINIC ACID (leucovorin). Geraldine Re: Prenatal Folic Acid helps autism prevention> > > > Stupid article. Since starting him on high dose folate ( per his neurologist)we have had several areas of improvement. His binocular vision problems resolved almost completely and immediately ( within a few months), he has become a social butterfly making and KEEPING ( big difference) friends, and has developed a love of reading with improved reading comprehension. He says he can now make pictures in his head when reading and it makes it so much more fun and interesting. He is in 7th grade, reading grade level or slightly above books, and making passing grades on his AR reading tests for the first time. Prior, he would struggle to read and complete the book and fail the AR test. He has been on folate for 1 year.> > > > > >
