Guest guest
I had these labs taken on March 7 when I had been on 75 mcg of TR T3 for at least 6 weeks. Due to these labs, I went to 87.5 mcg. Took that for almost 6 weeks and increased to 87.5 in the am and 12.5 in the afternoon. Still feel bad. I'm tired, depressed, cranky, raging, making poor decisions, my body aches. I just feel terrible. Had another appointment and we didn't test for thyroid, but was told to increase to 100 in the morning and 12.5 in the afternoon an to increase the afternoon dose by 12.5 every two weeks until I feel better. What is up with all of this? I am breastfeeding my newest baby who is 5 months old. It seems that I feel worse now than when i was pregnant. I asked about adding some t4 and the doctor wants to keep me on T3 only until I am stabilized. Is adding 12.5 every two weeks going too fast when my adrenals are shot? Here are the labs. Sodium 142 (135-14) Potassium 4.1 (3.5-5.3) Calcium 9.1 (8.6-10.2) Hemoglobin A1C 5.5 <5.7 decreased risk of diabetes T3 Free 2.4 (2.3-4.2) IGF 1 222 (50-303) Aldosterone 5 < or = 28 Testosterone free and total 13 (2-45) Testosterone free 1.1 (.1-6.4) cortisol 24.2 (4.6-20.6) cortisol free .45 (.07-.93) pregnenolone 41 (7-188) hemoglobin 13.1 (11.7-15.5) hematocrit 39 (35-45) iron % saturation 36 ferritin 90 vitamin b12 526 folate, rbc 512 dhea 208 (25-228) I've got more that was run, but these are the ones I thought you would be interested in. My vitamin D is in the 50's and needs to be up, and has been. My pulse is low, temp is still in the upper 97's and my blood pressure is low. Total cholesterol is 259 and LDL is 173 My fasting glucose is 88. Thanks for looking. I appreciate it. I would greatly appreciate any insight as well. Thank you again. Guest guest
I don't think I would want to be doing these T3 experiments while breastfeeding. Be aware that some of our members have not done well on the TR T3. That may be the reason your Free T3 is not coming up. Guest guest
The one time I had blood drawn eight hours after dosing, my Free Ts were both 20% higher than when I have blood drawn before dosing. While it is not possible to extrapolate your numbers with any precision at all, you probably need more T4 and also have some wiggle room on the T3. I say "probably", because there are a few folks who have limited tolerance for T4. How are you feeling? What symptoms are you having? There is no way a doc can say you are "fine" based on your numbers. >> I received my lab results:> > Free T 4 is 0.83 (range 0.73-1.95)> Free T 3 is 3.9 (range 2.3-4.2)> > Is my Free T3 too low or too high? Do I need more T 4 med? I take T4(0.05mg BID) and T3(15 mcg BID) meds.> THX,> Pam>
