I know exactly how you feel. I have Aetna and there

are only 2 Doctors on my list also. I called the first

one and he told me that he no longer takes Aetna and

the other one was the biggest disappointment. He told

me that Dr. Levin should have never done my surgery at

age 43 and that he has never seen a 43 yr. old woman

produce a good egg. He said that just because your FSH

is fine doesn't mean that you are producing quality

eggs. He was so discouraging and tryed to talk me in

to IVF. He said that I was the perfect candidate for

IVF with donor eggs. Then he went on to brag about his

facility and claims that they have a 85% success rate,

He wouldn't even consider doing the IUI on me. Told me

that I was to old. He gave me a schedule of his fee's

and with Donor eggs it was about $20,000.00 a shot.

Can you believe that? I went out of there feeling so

down and discouraged. I realized that this guy didn't

want to do the IUI because he wouldn't make that much

off of it and that by doing the IVF he would make so

much more money. It really didn't help my situation.

Now I have nowhere to turn unless I make the 16 hour

trip from Dallas to Kentucky every time I have an IUI

done. Hope you have much better luck than I did. It

made me appreciate Dr. Levin so much more and to know

that he isn't just out for the money. He truely is

here to help each and every one of us to realize our

dreams. Hang on to your dreams no matter what.
