Guest guest
There are different types of standardized testing...norm-referenced assessment, criterion-based assessment and curriculum-based assessment. Norm-referenced assessment measures a child's skills as compared to a standardized norm...against other typical children of the same age or grade level. IQ and achievement testing are norm referenced assessment. Curriculum-based assessment measures a child's progress on curriculum. The TAKS test is curriculum based assessment. Criterion-based assessment measures a child against a pre-set score that would determine mastery. Tell them you want norm referenced assessment. nna -- nna Bond, M.Ed., ATPSpecial Education ConsultantAutism SpecialistRESNA certified Assistive Technology Practitioner
