Guest guest
What about shampoos? Some of us are allergic to laureth sulfate (sp) or sodium laureate (sp). ?? Conditioners? Gels? Have you switched to different labels?I wish somebody would make a hypoallergenic shampoo and body wash. Even Dove Gentle Body Wash dries my skin til it flakes terribly through my black knit pants.I can't pay a fortune, either, but if somebody knows of a good brand, please post!! Has anybody tried Neutragena or Almay?Vicki K No, I took my meds after the draw. Burning scalp and hair loss started at the same time last year before I was on any meds. Docs are only guessing it is from being mild hypo. When I increase Armour, pain seems to get better but it does flare up sometimes. > > > > > > > > I've been suffering with burning scalp (severe > Sunburn/inflammation feeling) and hair loss for nearly a year. Guest guest
My allergic kid was able to use good old-fashioned Ivory Soap (It floats!) but i have no idea if it still exists or if they have changed the way they make it. Guest guest
I am unsure whether it is ok to suggest a website, if I am doing a no-no I do apologize.I have the same problem and it is definitely the SLS crap that is put into shampoo formulas. I have experimented with different brands over the years with some degree of success. If you check out the livestrong.com website and look at the article that suggests shampoos at different price points that are SLS free, you may be able to find something to try. Also, if you dilute apple cider vinegar with some water (50/50), and rinse you hair with it after shampooing it will calm the itchies down a bit.I have sensitive skin and it helps to soothe irritated skin from mosquito bites to heat rashes. No, I took my meds after the draw. Guest guest
I can only use tone soap. Any time I use something else I itch really bad. Sent from my iPhoneJoanne Canfield What about shampoos? Guest guest
I was thinking that along the same lines. Maybe you might look at the “no poo” way of managing your hair. I think you wash your hair with baking soda and water or vinegar. I don’t use shampoo any more. I used Suave Naturals conditioner to wash my scalp and another cheap conditioner that is a bit heavier for the ends of my hair. Suave naturals is about $1.50 per bottle. But there are still plenty of chemicals in it I’m sure. I just found shampoo too drying for my curly, dry, coarse hair. It also has resolved the itchy scalp that I used to get at times. Guest guest
Thanks for giving my problem some thought. I've changed shampoos sseveral times over the past year. I've been using a sulfate free shampoo for teh past month. I do not see any differrence. I've been using Nioxin conditioner. > > > > > > > > > > I've been suffering with burning scalp (severe > > Sunburn/inflammation feeling) and hair loss for nearly a year.
