Hi Val,

I must say I'm struggling. I started T3 six weeks ago. I'm not responding like I thought. I've gained 5 lbs. My ankles swelled up and I'm all bloated. I sometimes question myself on why I even started T3 only...mainly because Armour wasn’t working for me despite using cortef ( which also bloated me up terribly)

I have a hump at the base of my neck. I had reduced Cortef to down to 10 mgs slowly and Ive been down for about 2 months. Doc wanted me to try Licorice and I consented but I use very little. 5 drops of liquid two times a day, Cortef 5 in the morning and 5 at dinner time. I say all this to suggest I have trouble with cortisol treatments. I also just showed up with low aldostrone and started Flornief a while back ago. I am on 3/4 of a .1mg tablet.

I am on T3 cytomel 62.5 mgs right now. My doc tested me to see where I am at before she would increase my dosage. She gave me 50 mg . So I'm trying to increase with a limited amount of Cytomel till the test results come in. I wanted to increase because I thought that might be my problem.

Cytomel is so expensive! I feel I need to go back on Armour and try to figure it out. I cant afford cytomel!

Why cant I get any results from any thyroid meds? All my hormones are way down, low , low , low. I really am trying to get off cortef to test out my levels of cortisol. Is this too much to do???

Thank you , Val.
