Guest guest
No malls around me, I live in the boonies in mid western Ontario :-( When I do get to a big mall, I do walk around it several times, mainly because I get lost! I have found a semi-resonable compromise for rainy days around here, I go to the big grocery store and walk each and every aisle at a good pace, then go next door to the dept. store and walk all their aisles them cross the road to Canadian Tire and walk all the aisles there! They key to this is to not take much money and no credit cards or you'll go broke in a hurry! After all that, I got to my fave grocery store and walk the aisles there and do my shopping. It was the diabetic educator who gave me the aisle walking idea, she tells the elderly people to at least walk the perimeter of a big store, so I just enlarged on that idea for myself. I had a 4.7 yest. after my 45 mins at the gym! I have been doing a fair bit of weights lately, and riding the ex. bike for 20-25 mins as the treadmill there died. A good electric treadmill costs a fortune and this is just a small gym owned by one woman and she's busily trying to find a replacement for it... I like to alternate days at gym with just walking. (but briskly)..so it's MWF and Saturday mallwalk and TThSunday for the gym. No chance to get bored with either. And of course my books on tape to make it all bearable...
