Guest guest
First the good news! Went to the doctor this morning. He says I'm showing non-diabetic readings (on the meds). HbA1C is 5.6!! Unfortunately, we can both look at the logs and see that the slightest bit of stress or extra carbs makes the readings go up, so I don't get off the meds yet. Oh, well, any improvement is a good one. Now the bad news. I've got a great new job, with new insurance, and Doc's not on any of the panels. I asked him about getting on one, and told him what my choices were. He responded, and I quote, " Boy, are you screwed! " Then he handed me 3 months worth of free meds, and said I didn't have to come back for 4 months. I'm gonna take the PPO option and see him out of plan. I've got a keeper. Robin G.
