Guest guest
Sharon, You said you use hydrogen peroxide on 'AS'--what is AS? I've tried the vinegar/alcohol solution 3 times in my ears and it knocks back the itching but the itching and scaling does come back. I'll keep at it. I am reacting somewhat to the vinegar (CNS-wise), however, b/c I've gotten sensitized to it before... So am looking for an alternative. My doc said regular hydrogen per. in the ear is not good b/c it makes it 'too clean' or something to that effect. Anyone else heard this? Knocks out the good w. the bad.?? Thanks for your help, Chris 13. Re: [AspergillusSupport] Aspergillus sinusitis leaflet - June Henrik Posted by: " snk1955@... Hydrogen Peroxide on AS, White Vinegar on SB. I brush my teeth with HP when I get a gum flare up and I soak with WV when I get skin flare up. If I never learn anything else off of a chatboard, these two items for remedies of fungal conditions, have been well worth the time spent. Thanks! Sharon Judy, I have written about this before but will again as you mentioned your sinus infection. When I went to see my ENT Specialist on 12 March 2007 he was astounded at the positive progress in my sinuses. He said it was the best he had seen since I got the infection with Aspergillus Niger in 1999, along with a mycobacterium chelonae infection. I had told him about my use of hydrogen peroxide, and he says doctors use it a lot in operations in surgery of the ENT area. He told me earlier in January that it was ok to proceed with my use of it. After I visited his clinic in March he said " I think I will get you onto my staff as I have two patients who have nasty sinus infections that I cant seem to clear up " . He asked again the dilution I am using: I take 1/4 cup 6% hydrogen peroxide which I get from the chemist. Then add + 1/4 cup normal saline to dilute it to 3% hydrogen peroxide. Then I add a another 1/2 cup of normal saline which gives me a 1.5 % hydrogen peroxide mixture I use to irrigate my nose. After I bought two litre bottles of normal saline, I now make my own saline solution to cut down the costs. I use the dental irrigation system, with a Grossen adapter for the nasal part. This helps me get into the sides of the nostrils and towards the forehead, as you can point the adapter into the area you want. He was so excited when he saw how clear my sinuses were that he is now using it on two of his patients. I am sure if you want to give it a try it would be worth discussing it with your doctor. Print off my email to show him what we do here in Ausralia.
Guest guest
AS = Aspergillus. They also have a chat board of their own. A great board with excellant information and good people. Carol the moderator is very well educated and stays on top of any new research. It's good to hear that you feel the white vinegar helps some. I'm not sure what you mean when you say it effected the CNS, in which way? Ear infections that I've used it for and also feedback from others that most of the time only took one treatment. Again, I am not a doctor, but in the ear canal itself several times in the first couple of days then once every week or two I don't feel would hurt. If you have dry skin on the outside of the ear, just keep dabbing it. I've used it myself for many rashes and dry skin patches over the years and it seems to work every time. Maybe I've just been lucky, but as always, use caution. Some MCS'ers can't use it, because they even react to the odor. In this case as well as it has worked, I would use it outside.
