Guest guest
Today Show had a segment on living environmentally friendly and one one suggestion I found interesting. They recommended using 100% cotton for shower curtain. Now having never seen a shower without vinyl shower curtain, I didn't know this would work. I thought it was absolutely necessary to keep water inside shower area to have plastic liner. However I never gave it much thought but realize of course you are only trying to keep water spray from going outside shower area and fabric would do that fine. It just will be wet afterwards. They mentioned in addition to being environmentally friendly, keeping old plastic shower curtains out of landfills, but they said plastic shower liners tend to develop mold, whereas cotton do not. Of course there is the added advantage of being able to throw in wash machine and wash and dry more easily than plastic also. It may be obvious to other but I hadn't considered using cotton without a liner before hearing that. They recommended organic cotton. Guest guest
And cotton shower curtains smell a heck of a lot better than the plastic ones. Can be washed and just hung back up.
Guest guest
I got one of those cotton show curtains yesterday for my bathroom. We bought one for our other bathroom and I really like it. At first when my husband brought it home I said you can't use that but it dries very fast and has no odor. I got mine at Walmart. > > Today Show had a segment on living environmentally friendly and one > one suggestion I found interesting. They recommended using 100% > cotton for shower curtain.
