In 2002, mold started becoming evident to school staff. It was on the ceilings, walls and on books. To address the problem, district officials said they plan to begin removing the heating and cooling system as soon as school is out, but some teachers said they're concerned that's not enough. " We have people with respiratory problems, we have children with asthma, we have people who've come to this building to work, and for the first time in their lives they are having major health issues. This has been five years we've been fighting this problem and we're fed up, " said Judy with the teacher's union. District officials said they have mapped out a course of action, but they're still not sure why the building continues to take on moisture.
