Guest guest
Has anyone been to the subject doctor? He supposedly is a mold expert, but from what I've found out, he costs $3200 cash and that doesn't include the lab work, which insurance might cover at least part of. Plus, his evaluation/testing takes 2 days so you have to stay in a nearby hotel overnight. Any patients who have been through his protocol? Are you better? Does he get it? Thanks,
Guest guest
I have been through Dr. Gray's testing and can share the following: I believe he is an " expert " in the toxic mold area; however, there are problems and issues within his office and staff that lead me to suggest looking at a different doctor instead. It took an act of Congress to receive a call-back from his admin asst (heaven forbid you ever talk to Dr. Gray.) After all the testing was completed, the protocol was to sit down again with the doctor to discuss all the findings and finalize the treatment plan. I finished my testing the early part of Sep 06 - and am still waiting for his staff to contact me for this meeting (by that time, I was fed up with leaving messages for calls that would not be returned.) I believe THAT is the reason he wants cash up front. As for costs, I think my total was about $9300 by the time all the testing was complete. Finally, the initial protocol has made no difference to the quality of my health and cognitive abilities - I'm still just as useless as I was before I saw him. If you would like additional info or have other questions, please let me know - I can also be reached via travel_jf@.... I also have a little info on a diff doctor (I was down to these two and picked Gray due to location.) Sincerely,
Guest guest
Wow - not good feedback. I was afraid of that, but thanks for the info. I appreciate the info and if you have more - would love to hear it as well. (feel free to send it to my e-mail to the right...) I wish you luck in your quest to get back to health! --- In , Farrell <travel_jf@...> wrote: > > I have been through Dr. Gray's testing and can share the following: I believe he is an " expert " in the toxic mold area; however, there are problems and issues within his office and staff that lead me to suggest looking at a different doctor instead. Guest guest
How agreeable are you to travel up to vegas? I LOVE my DOCTOR and her office is not like Gray's. Granted she ALWAYS runs late, but, you get the tme and attention that you rEQUIRE..that's why her patients don't mind the wait. For example, FIRST visit is at least an HOUR! I have been going to her for 10 years and I HAVE NOT REACHED the 9,300 that the other person has spent. I do not know what allergy tests/panels costs, but, she doens't NOT colelct $ like that up front. She does provaction/neutralization testing and has licensing in AZ, so I am not sure if you have to be seen by a " local " insurance approved dr. Her name is Carol Barlow and she also has a MS in toxicology, board certified in 2 boards and is VERY open to trying patients suggestions for treatments. Guest guest
, Sorry about your experence. I can attest to your story. I tried 3 times to get a return call from him after talking to his office manager and then his assistant to discuss what he could do for me. I guess I just got a bad felling about continuing with him. I guess I am one of the lucky ones on this site. I was in a rental house for a year and had all the symptoms. It was the broncitius and the mold growing on the wall that got me out of there. I have spent the last year going to Dr.s only to be prescribed allergy meds and steriods. I think the diet, vitamins, and garlic supplements worked the best. Time will help. But how do I know what toxic long term effect I will encounter. I wish you all well.
