Guest guest
Hi I went to my Dr today to talk about RT3 as I have been on Armour for nearly 6 months and am still experiencing extreme fatigue (esp when standing or walking). He said for me to take 20mcg of Slow release T3 plus he wants me to take 50mcg of Thyroxine and to up my Armour from 2.25 grains 1BD ( I think that means 2x daily). He also said that I should leave work and go bush by myself to rest. I don't know what to do. I don't think it is wise from my research to take both T3 and T4 plus Armour. Shouldn't I either be increasing the Armour OR trying T3 only ( I think I would prefer the later). If so, how do I do this? I am taking 22mg HC and 1/4 Florinef. Please can somebody give me some advice. If this fatigue continues I will have to give up work altogther and my DH said he will have to find work in the mines to support us. This means 2 weeks away - 1 week home. I just can't see a way forward and am crying non stop atm. Thanks

Guest guest
Val This much I have come to realise is true............... I should have mentioned that I am in Western Australia. I just rang the lab on the other side of Aust and will get the blood sent there next week. Do I stay on the Armour meantime and maybe even increase the dose? How long do I stop taking Armour before having the bloodwork done? Thanks so much Val. I think I would just pack it all in if I didn't have the advice from you guys. > Your doctor is full of crap. Guest guest
I would take the Armoru you have been taking as usual. If you change the dose you will not hget accurate labs. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Val-- How long before taking the blood do you need to have stoped taking the Armour? Guest guest
I do not liekw ot test T3 untilk early AM with not taking any Armoru yet so the same would be true of Rt3 I assume, butI am really not sure it would make much difference for that test. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Thanks Val I will take it tomorrow morning then. While I wait for the results I think I should increase the Armour or add some T3. Would you agree? Guest guest
I would not increase Armoru till you know if you have too much RT3, but adding in some T3 would not hurt. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
That sounds good to me. Thank you so much Val. I do hope you are recovering. I know that its hard to take the time and space when you know that others are needing your support. If I can ever do anything for you please let me know. Guest guest
Val I think i need to swap to T3 as I just don't feel very good on Armour. The fatigue has been really bad and lately I have been crying and irritable. I took some SRT3 (approx 7mcg) this morning and have felt pretty good today (well at least no crying or feeling low). I prob should wait for the blood results but I just couldn't face another week as I was. I hope I am not doing anything dangerous. I am due to take another SRT3 now. Another complication is that I feel like I am coming down with a cold and this prob is so as my two sons are home with this. I will take some extra HC and hope that I don't get a thyroid dump. Am I doing anything really wrong? I would rather it was not SR but thats all I have a script for (my thinking is that if I go hyper it should only last 4 hours not up to 12 hours with SR) Your thoughts would be appreciated Are you feeling any better? BTW - I thought that if there are any books that you would like to purchase then I am willing to donate some money towards supporting your learning as I am sure many others would be too. I am not sure how we could arrange this as I am in Australia but maybe you could put a wish list up and we could purchase via paypal? Geraldine > > >>Could you please adivise how to add some T3? Guest guest
Any cold, sinus or flu symptoms have to be suspicious for low cortisol symptoms, os pleaes give yourself some extra in big stress doses till you are feeling well agian. I am finally getting over this bug, but still having to take diarrhea meds aboitu 1-2 times a dya but certainly not the 10+ times a day I was up to, and i have returned ot a very busy holiday work wekend so will be unavailable later todya. 7 dogs to groom an a client that waits for her three will keep me away from the computer till I return home this evening. Try the SR. It may work better for others than it did for me, but don;t give up oin T3 therapy if it does not. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
