Hi, i am not sure what the heck to do? the Dr increese my progesterone and a

couple a months ago and now everyone is saying that it's high but before we

increese the progesterone we noties that my testosterone was high,so that is way

the Dr increese it so we can lower it. but wondering if i should just stop

taking the bi/est and progesterone, but i do that then i need to go down on med

then stop slowly right.

this is just so darn confusing rrrrrrrrrrrr.

now if i go and get my med thyroid med in 2 capsule one being freet4 then the

other t3 then how would this work with geting blood work done and would this

cost me more money.

i like to know if there or others out there that are only taking one capsule

with both t3 AND T4, how is it working for you.

I don't think anyone is saying your progesterone is high.  I just commented that the post-menopausal ranges (which are on the low end)  are not necessarily a good target - i.e., the target is often to get our hormones back to the way their were pre-menopausal, which is higher levels.   I did not see that your other hormones are necessarily out of whack.

As far as 2 capsules for your thyroid, I'm sorry if I added to the confusion.  I was just noting that that is what worked well for me, but it won't work if you want natural. However, if you are taking natural, you could perhaps add synthetic T4 and perhaps decrease the amount of your natural since your Free T3 is over range and your Free T4 is well below mid-range.

As far as taking multiple dosages, the advantage of taking divided dosages is that you won't get as high of a spike in the T3 at one time, so that can reduce any potential hyper symptoms.  Personally, I'd be jumping out of my skin if I took all the T3 that I take in one day all at once - my eyes would be spinning.

B.

I will make a point to ask the Dr about synthroid and other things . can you help me understand one thing if i start to take t4 and take my natural stuff can i take it all at one. how much does it cost to get synthroid i heard it cost more then the natural?

I also wanted to say you are the only one that had explained more about the progesterone and estrogen i thank you. I would like to know how did you get your info on how to understand all of the hormones as there are bad books and good ones out there a long with websites. so i can be more knowledgeble. Thank you

Generic levothyroxine is cheap. And yes. You can take the synthetic and natural at the same time. I have done it for years. Some docs will not prescribe a combination of synthetic and natural, however.

If you do not have any hyper symptoms with a suppressed TSH or a Free T3 over range, another solution might be a larger dose of natural thyroid. Those reference ranges are just statistical constructs that do not reflect what an individual patient may need. If you have antibodies, in particular, then you may benefit from a T3 slightly to greatly over range. This would be a position to be approached cautiously, working with your doctor, considering all the ramifications of an elevated T3.

My personal limiting factor with regard to T3 is my diabetes. If my T3 is too high, my blood glucose goes up. If it stays too high too long, I start to get joint pain. My TSH was suppressed many doses ago. . . . .

What you may need is highly individual.
