Guest guest
Hi there, Please have a read and let me know if my thought process is on the right track In reference to my " sick building " of previous posts. My client has been diagnosed as having severe atypical, Mycoplasma pnemonia. However she has suffered this for 18 months with repeated courses of both amoxocillan and erythromiacin. So if it is in fact mycoplasma then a) why hasn't the anti biotics cleared it up and why hasn't she continuoulsy infected the others in her small office space? My theory is that she is incorrectly diagnosed and has in fact got Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis. Simply due the the points noted above and that fact that she has been exposed in her work environment to conditions conducive to biological contamination. (extensive water damage to carpet and ceiling) The carpet is laid on unventilated concrete flooring. The swabs we have taken of the mould infected air vents have finally began to grow and are now in pure culture waiting to be identified. We can not take further action unless I can have a medical professional conclusively say that her illness is a direct result of the fungi, bacteria etc found in the workplace. Any hints on how to do so would be good here. Thanxs heaps and look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Guest guest
I, too, am going through something very similar. I was just recently diagnosed with Staphylococcus Aureus, Diphtheroid-Like strain. I, as your friend, am also having many more symptoms besides this MRSA sickness. I believe I contracted mold/fungi mycotoxins at my workplace and have since been systematically relieved of my job. I believe that somehow, my contracting the MRSA and the mold/fungus are related to my working with drug addicts on a daily basis. Whether it is in the clinic building (walls, ceiling, etc.) and/or the probability that spores are being brought in on the clients themselves, my " former " employer has done everything to try and place this all on my shoulders and provided me no support, whatsoever. I, myself, had to contact Human Resources to have them file Workers' Comp papers. It was the Comp doctor that found the MRSA, not even my own Kaiser doctors could find what it is. Now I am without any medical coverage, the Workers' Comp doctor discharged me this past Friday citing that this was a solitary case of Staph and that I gave it to myself. I am contacting lawyers today to see if I can get any help. If you all have any suggestions, please let me know. I have already been in contact with Doug Haney, Advocate, from Sacramento, CA and Dr. Markinovich, Toxicologist, from Redwood City, CA. Unfortunately, the doctor costs are to be paid up front and he does not take very many insurances (I don't have any at this time anyhow). So, I am hoping that an attorney who specializes in these type of cases will take this on a contingency basis or I am going to go for it on my own. If anybody can help me out there, please let me know ASAP. My worst symptoms right now are chronic and progressive fatigue, shortness of breath, heart palpitations and loss of teeth. My skin continues to manifest small rashes, deformed arm hairs and follicles along with some small abscesses which I am using vinegar, garlic, CS, microelectricity, milk thistle, etc. Please help me. I do believe strongly in the healing power of the Holy Spirit and I " pray without ceasing " . I know God is using me and my illness to bring glory to Himself and others to Him. Keep up the good work, group, and may God bless you! Guest guest
, The dilemma that you describe is unfortunately a common one. You should realize that even if you are able to find an experienced attorney who will take your case on contingency, the expense for medical and expert witnesses are usually paid for by the client. Because of these types of costs, mold cases are some of the most expensive cases to bring to trial. I have worked with the high risk populations (IV drug users, HIV+ and Hep C+ individuals) for well over a decade now. Even with my hypersensitivity to mold I have never had any problems with a mold exposure and or symptoms thereof due to working with drug addicts and or any other type of patient that I might treat. Now whether you are reacting to mold as a result of your environment, is a whole different issue. Did you explore any of the avenues open to you through the worker's compensation system?
